Idiopathic Hypersomnia

I slept nearly 14 hours last night and I woke up feeling like I hadn't slept for a week and then had been run over by a truck. It's one of those days when I'm so tired, I can't even explain how tired I am. I'm afraid my Hypersomnia is killing me and I am dying a slow and painful and sleepy death.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it's not technically possible for hypersomnia to kill you, but if it could, I'm sure it would feel like I feel.

Sorry to hear about the state that you are in. you may not believe this at this stage, but you can actually start to live and sleep better even if you are suffering from hypersomnia. first of all, know the causes as the treatment can then be chosen accordingly.

In any case, you could try some of the hypersomnia treatments that worked wonderfully with me (I am 29 years old and a mother of two):
-Quit alcohol and avoid foods with stimulants like coffee, chocolate, etc
-Keep regular sleeping hours
-Do physical exercise for at least -20 minutes a day
-Do some relaxing activity just before going to bed
-Do not rush through sleep. try and relax as much as possible before going to sleep.

Please do visit this page that I part-collaborated with:
